Fall 2004 Seminar Second Edition of Transportation, Logistics and the Law
Attendees will learn what they did not learn in college - the legal consequences of logistical arrangements - and the legal differences between all of the entities that are in the business of moving or arranging for the movement of freight worldwide. Transportation, Logistics and the Law, the 550-page text used in this seminar, explains and provides copies of all of the pertinent laws and regulations that remain in effect after 20 years of deregulation. It explains how the lack of understanding of these laws and legal principles have been costing the shipping public hundreds of millions of dollars in unrecoverable claims, ineffective Insurance coverage, double payment of freight charges, contract and tariff disputes, undercharges, loss of discounts, government fines and penalties, etc. It places emphasis o the problem areas of transportation - and provides solutions! It covers bankruptcies and their effect on liability for payment of freight charges - a persistent problem when freight charges are paid to a party other than the carrier. For an outline of the topics covered in the text and seminar, visit www.transportlawtexts.com. Read also Mr. Augello's interesting explanation of What I Learned at My Seminars? on this website. It explains why management is finally realizing why their transportation and logistics staff must understand transportation law. A copy of the Power Point presentation will be furnished to registrants.
