About the Lecturer:
John Harvey is well known in the industry for the job-oriented information and real claim experiences he relates in this popular text and seminar. His unique knowledge of loss and damage claims comes from 27 years as Corporate Claims Manager for Corning, Inc. Mr. Harvey has also taught transportation and claims at the State University of New York (Binghamton), and at University of Toledo, Continuing Education Division. He is the Administrator for, and a former arbitrator for the Transportation Arbitration Board, and I.C.C. Practitioner (Class B) and he is the Director of Education for TCPC. Mr. Harvey is the Chairman of the Franklin Advisory Board, School of Management at Syracuse University. His seminar and text are designed to teach newcomers to freight claims and carrier liability the basic elements of this intricate subject. His lectures are easy to follow and understand, and the lessons learned will be readily applied in the daily claims filing and recovery function. Anyone who has attended one of his classes will attest that Mr. Harvey is an outstanding, and interesting teacher.
